About the Journal

Sílex is the academic journal of humanities and social sciences of the Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya (UARM). The journal has been published biannually since 2013, focusing on scholarly articles and essays written in Spanish, English, and Portuguese on a variety of topics related to human knowledge. It is aimed for Peruvian and foreign scholars engaged in fields like philosophy, ethics, religion, political science, educational sciences, sociology, and media and communication. The journal is an open-access publication and is indexed in Latindex.

It considers human rights, biopolitics, social memory, social reconstruction, and current issues like illegal mining and environmental protection. It is an invitation to deepen respect for diversity and tolerance.
