Abstract
The research group “Tradition, writing and critical thinking in Manuel González Prada’s work”, at the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University, is a space for sharing and discussing today’s different perspectives about the Peruvian writer. In the year in which the Bicentenary of Peru’s Independence is remembered and in which many are still living the consequences of a pandemic, its members provide us readings on the criticism of the establishment, the relation between the French Revolution and the Bicentenary, the Christian imperative, and the creation of the modern public.
