Abstract
This lecture from the Superior General of the Society of Jesus was given during his visit to the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University on March 23rd, 2017. In his speech, he acknowledges and ponders the Jesuit academic tradition, in which the intellectual apostolate is and continues to be of great importance to the vivid understanding of the world from the Christian faith. It is also a careful and meditated invitation to strength the academic identity of the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University, which has kept the academic legacy from the Society of Jesus and the practical and social significance of the intellectual practice.
